Mommy makeover
Has your body changed after pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding – and are you finding it difficult to accept? You are far from alone. With a mommy makeover, we help you on your way to feeling happy about your body again.
Having children is the most wonderful gift, but it can also leave its mark on the body. Many women choose to accept their body, but there are also women who want to get rid of the post-pregnancy body they cannot accept.
Your breasts may have lost volume, their shape may have changed, and your abdomen may protrude more than it used to. You can do a lot with diet and exercise, but you may be considering whether you need a mommy makeover so that you can regain the joy of your body without looking over-operated.
What is a mommy makeover?
A ‘Mommy makeover’ (also called pregnancy-corrective procedure) is a combination procedure specifically targeted at women who have given birth. The procedure typically covers surgery of the abdomen and breasts, but is tailored to the individual woman. A classic ‘Mommy makeover’ will typically consist of a breast-corrective operation (breast lift and/or breast augmentation) and an abdominoplasty.
Because Mommy makeover is a combination procedure, where two operations are performed at once, you avoid being operated on multiple times, and there is also money to be saved because you have two or more operations performed at once.
There are many operations targeted at the physical changes a woman’s body undergoes during and after pregnancy. However, it is never a package solution, but a 100% individual treatment where different operations are combined to restore your body to how it looked before you became pregnant. Often the focus is on the abdomen and breasts, but many also want treatment of the legs and face. If you are considering having more children, however, it is a good idea to wait with the operations until after your last pregnancy.
CPH Privathospital offers the possibility of a complete package, which can include personal training and dietary guidance.
