Spine surgery – Experience a safe spinal operation

Back pain is completely normal to experience during life and does not always mean a spinal operation. However, you may experience such persistent or severe back pain that you must undergo a spinal surgical procedure. Are you in a similar situation? Have a safe pathway with some of Denmark’s best spine specialists.

At CPH Privathospital we offer professional spinal operations – also called spine surgery – and first-class treatment. Do you have, for example, painful conditions in your back? Then our experienced spine specialist will find the right treatment that best suits your needs.

In our spine surgery department you will be met by a dedicated consultant (specialist doctor) with many years of experience in spinal operations in Denmark. Here you as a person and patient will always be at the centre. This means that we meet you with warmth, empathy and presence from the very first meeting. All while you are assured of high professional quality and a safe pathway.

We offer investigation and treatment within:
– Disc herniation in the lumbar spine and neck

– Spinal stenosis in the neck (narrowed spinal canal)

– Osteoarthritis in the lumbar spine, neck and displacement of vertebrae (fusion operation)

– Pain from the coccyx

– Chronic back pain

In addition, we have a broad multidisciplinary team within spine surgery that works closely with our experienced physiotherapists, skilled rheumatologists and thorough neurologists in the hospital. For you, this means a private hospital near Copenhagen that takes your symptoms and pain seriously.

When do you need an operation on your back?

Back pain affects virtually all people during life. Fortunately, you will normally not need an operation. But if your pain develops into persistent back pain, or if you have pain radiating into your arms or legs, you should contact a spine specialist immediately. This can be symptoms of irritated nerves or sciatica.

The cause may be due to physical overload, acute lumbago, vertebral collapse (osteoporosis) or lumbar disc prolapse. They can occur during life, but some spinal disorders can also be congenital. For example, you can be born with a deformed spine. In addition, there are spinal diseases such as Scheuermann’s disease and spondylolisthesis.

If you therefore have disorders in the lower back, neck or spine, you should contact a doctor specialising in spinal diseases. A pathway with us includes, among other things, a precise and rapid assessment by an experienced spine specialist. Here the consultant will also carry out an examination to determine whether you suffer from, for example, a disc prolapse, so that you can receive the correct diagnosis.

Receive professional treatment from an experienced spine specialist

At CPH Privathospital we offer our patients spine surgery if they experience limitations in everyday life and reduced working capacity as well as quality of life due to back pain. That is, treatment of the disorders that relate to changes in the spine.

Sometimes a spinal fusion operation may also be possible. The purpose of the operation is to stabilise/fuse your spine – either after spondylolisthesis between two vertebrae or due to osteoarthritis in the spine. With it you can increase your chances of improving your mobility and quality of life.

The most important thing for us is that you receive the best treatment and answers to any questions you may have through a personal dialogue. Therefore do not hesitate to contact us if you wish a preliminary examination or treatment.
