Replacement of breast implants

There can be many reasons why you wish to have your breast implants removed or replaced. These may include
changes in the size and shape of the breast, leakage of an implant, capsule formation, capsular contracture or simply that you no longer wish to have breast implants.

Everything changes over time, including the result after a breast augmentation operation.

There can be many reasons for replacing your breast implants. This may be due to anything from the desire for a different appearance (larger or smaller implants), the need to replace the implant due to leakage or capsule formation, or changes in the appearance of your breast as a result of weight change, pregnancy or breastfeeding.

If your own breast tissue has begun to sag more, replacement of implants can be combined with a breast lift performed in the same procedure.

Having your implants replaced is an important decision that requires good advice and time for consideration. As with all surgery, the decision is made in consultation with the plastic surgeon based on your wishes and expectations.
