Elbow pain?

Pain in the elbow can have many causes. The discomfort may be due to tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, osteoarthritis, bursitis or overuse. Get a rapid assessment here.

If you experience prolonged elbow pain, you should contact your own doctor, who in most cases can help you. However, an orthopaedic surgery assessment may be necessary, and our consultants are ready to help you at CPH Privathospital whether you are self-paying, have health insurance or are referred through the public waiting time guarantee.

How is the examination performed?

Since pain and possible reduced mobility in the elbow can be due to many different causes, it may be necessary for the consultant to perform several different examinations in order to find the correct diagnosis. Initially, the doctor will often perform an ultrasound scan, but X-ray and MRI scanning may also be necessary.

How is elbow pain treated?

Treatment of elbow pain may include anti-inflammatory medication, corticosteroid injection, physiotherapy or operation. The consultant will inform you thoroughly about the treatment options.
